FAQ
Q What are the features and benefits of the tactile sensor?
A
· The sensing part (sensor sheet) is so thin, with a thickness of around 0.1 mm, that the sensor can acquire data as closely as possible to actual usage or operation conditions.
· The sensor sheet has a simple structure where many sensing points are laid out.
· You may choose the sensor sheet from the standard lineup or we can make custom-shaped sensor sheets according to your measurement purposes.
· The software is user-friendly and enables you to observe pressure distribution, to record chronological changes in pressure distribution in real time, and to replay the measurements and analyze them using charts.
Q What types and shapes does the sensor sheet come in?
A We offer a variety of sensor sheets with different sensitivities for customers to select according to usage. If you do not find a suitable one, we are willing to develop sensor sheets with customized shape and sensitivity.
Q What is the largest sensor in a single piece?
A The largest one is the HUGE-MAT with a pressure sensitive width of 578 mm and pressure sensitive length of 884 mm.
For sensors larger than this, we offer the Virtual System.

Q What is the minimum spatial resolution at measurement points?
A The resolution of the current product is one millimeter.
Q How many sensor sheets per measurement we can use simultaneously?
A You can use a maximum of eight sheets per measurement simultaneously.
Q What is the file form to save measured data?
A You can choose the binary form or the Ascii form.

Q Can I correct variations in sensitivity at measurement points in the sensor sheet?
A The software has an equilibration program. You can correct the variation with this program and a jig to apply pressure evenly on the sensor sheet.
Q What is the guarantee period of the product?
A It is one year.
Q Do you update the version of the software?
A Yes, we do. We will give a notice of version upgrades on the web site

Q What is the resolution of output data?
A The resistance, which changes with the force applied to the sensor sheet, is converted to 256-phased digitalized values from zero to 255 steps.
